HARRY'S STORY
Two years ago Harry was found on the streets. It took more than 2 weeks for our volunteers to get him and bring him to APR. It has been a difficult time for Harry who we named Caesar. He was in terrible health and continued to be depressed and was just existing. A few weeks ago we received an email from a woman who thought our Caesar was her Harry. She was a victim of domestic violence and had to leave Florida quickly. She could not take Harry and his brother with her and thought they would be safe, but she had no idea what was to become of them. Apparently they were dumped on the street and we believe Harry's brother Spike was hit and killed. Once we knew who he was and all he had been through we knew we had to get him home. Thanks to Operation Roger, an or
ganization with volunteer truck drivers that help transport animals across country we got Harry home! His mom said he would not stop kissing her and was crying when he first saw her. This photo shows life in Harry's eyes that we never saw at APR. It took more than 2 years for Harry's mom to find him, but she never gave up. We could not have asked for a happier ending for Harry. At last he is finally home!
